Coverage

Major media appearances since July 2026

Interviews and broadcast appearances in his first ten weeks as minister, with the outlet that published them. Quotations from each are collected on statements.

Handelsblatt observed that his predecessor had not appeared on a major talk show and reported that the Chancellor wanted the new minister to communicate more. The list above is a record of appearances, not a measure of reach; no audience figures are given because none were verified.

Section C — rights and use

Rights, credits and accuracy

This site is an independent biographical profile. It does not hold or grant reproduction rights to the photographs it shows.

Where a photographer or agency is known, the credit is printed under the image on its page: for example, the 2019 Bundestag photograph by Olaf Kosinsky is published under a Creative Commons licence (CC BY-SA 3.0 DE) on Wikimedia Commons, and the oath-of-office and handover photographs are agency pictures (dpa and picture alliance). Where no credit could be established, none is invented. Anyone wishing to reuse an image should contact the rights holder or, for official material, the ministry.

Captions describe what can be seen and name only Steffen Bilger and public office-holders identified by a published source. Other people in the pictures are not named. Images are always shown complete and at no more than their natural size, so the frame is never cropped to change its meaning.

Official portraits and press photographs of the minister are published by the Federal Ministry for Transport and the Federal Government. Media enquiries about this website are handled as described on press material and contact; enquiries to the ministry go to its press office via bmv.de.
